So I’m a junior in high school and I’m in AP Language and Comp., among other things. I’m taking the ACT in April and the SAT in May or June. I am starting to look at prep stuff. However, I’m not one to study much(Yes I know this will destroy me in college but I’ll deal with that later). I just want to know if being in this class will be enough to prepare me for the English parts of the tests or if I should find some study apps or something. Can someone compare the Language and Comp test to the SAT/ACT?
Is reading really something you can study? Take a practice test (https://sat.collegeboard.org/practice/sat-practice-test) and see how you do.
If you’re not happy with your practice score, I wouldn’t rely on AP Lang for prep. They’re different things.
Yes, you can get better at analyzing and such probably!
Update: took the ACT last week and the English part was very similar to the things we went over in class, so yes it does help!
