AP Enviromental Science

i want to take the apes test, but my mom thinks it will be too "hard" lol
i took regular enviromental science last year because i didn't have enough room for the full year ap class, so it shouldn't be too hard, right? everyone says its incredibly easy too. do you think ill have enough time to independently study the entire course?

Its definitely not hard at all. Self study it.

I took the AP Enviro exam last year, albiet I was in a class with a teacher that did little in the way of preparing us for the exam, and I was able to get a five. You can definitely self study for the exam and do very well as that was essentially what I did last year.

While you’re entering what one might call “crunch time” with only two months until testing, if you begin now, you should be in a good position to get a high score. Given your previous background in Environmental Science, that also puts you at a distinct advantage.

With all that in mind, if you plan on taking the exam, I would buy a copy of the Barrons AP Enviro prep book and read the entire thing cover to cover. This prep book is the most comprehensive and essentially required reading for all those self studying for Enviro. Princeton Review and other prep books are simply too scant, too short, and don’t provide enough information to sufficiently cover the material on the exam. While the Barrons is quite lengthy, I’m confident that with you academic abilities, you can read the book in its entirety and thoroughly study leading up to the May test date.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to private message me. I can also provide you pointers on the ACT, AP US, AP Comp Gov, AP US Gov, AP Spanish, AP Calc BC, and the college process in general (I’m going to Dartmouth next year). I wish you the best of luck with everything.
