I'm a sophomore, and i'm trying to decide what would be better, AP bio or AP environmental science. I hear ap environmental is easier that ap bio, but is ap bio more rewarding in the end?

My school does not offer AP Environmental Science, but I’m currently in AP Biology as a senior and I love it! It’s probably one of my favorite classes that I’ve taken in high school. It is a little challenging, but I’d definitely recommend considering it. Ecology is also covered in AP Bio, which deals with the environment and some of the other topics covered in APES.
If you are interested in JUST the environmental part of biology, APES would probably be a better choice. If you’re open to learning about environment and more, AP Bio is a great class. Both classes do a lot of labs and can teach you a lot, so choose the one that you think you’ll like more. Good luck! :)

thanks!

I took ap bio last year as a sophomore and it was really great It might be a bit more expansive than APES, but the good thing is that you get exposed to all sorts of topics. You learn about diseases, ecology, genetics, etc as opposed to a just ecology/environment stuff in apes. Bio can also be a good course to take before apes, or maybe vice versa. Both courses are really cool, but I advise you take bio so you can explore more topics and have a more “well-rounded” experience to find what you really like.

I took AP Biology and absolutely loved it!
