AP Euro- where is your class at?

We're just starting WWI

starting the 20s and 30s, just finished WWI

HOW CAN I STUDY FOR AP EUROPEAN HISTORY IN 6 WEEKS?

I have never taken the actual AP course at school, so this would be a completely new subject approach for me.

I have however already studied medieval, the rennaisonse, the industrial revolution, ww1 and ww2, and all the way upto the end of cold war in my school's normal Social Studies classes over the course of 2 years.
I have also taken and studied for the SAT World History Subject Test.

How can I handle and grasp all this in 6 weeks and still manage to get a decent (4+) mark on the upcoming may exam??

PS- Don't tell me that this isn't possible, and I don't stand a chance...

In my class we have finished WWI and are kind of doing the 30s and stuff.

Jimmy....I think it is very possible for you to get a 4 or 5 on the ap test, given that you have taken the sat II and have covered some of the material in regular s.s. classes. But you will need to prep a LOT, I would say. Keep in mind that the AP tests and AP classes tend to go into much more depth of material than normal classes. If I were you I would definitely get a review book (but don't get REA, my friend loaned me an REA book and it's not very good at all). Take lots of practice tests...(I say lots, but that's difficult when it is a 3 hour test)...and do lots of DBQs and FRQs. Have you had another history course that was AP, like AP US history or anything? that would help...anyway, yes, definitely practice the essays and review all of the major periods. It sounds like you haven't hit the time period between the renaissance and the industrial rev. very hard; you have to keep in mind that that material (reformation, the hundred years war, the french revolution, imperialism, etc.) is a very large part of the test. I think a lot of HS courses tend to be more U.S. focused...except for world history...Euro has been much different than U.S. history, for me.

We're also just starting WWI.

Yikes... My class has only just started the French Revolution...

finished wwi a few weeks ago, starting great depression and rise of the nazis.

well. my school is on a trimester schedule...so we r 'done'....dont freak out yet....we barely did anything after www2 and spent like a wk on 1930s and ww2.....plus we have a trimester off before the ap test...i am pretty concerned..(if u cant tell..ahhh)

We are currently in WWII

We started the Cold War today; we listened to Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire," and our homework is to find another song with Cold War lyrics. I love that class.

Hehe, we listened to that song in APUSH. And watched the video. I had it stuck in my head for a couple of days. And "99 Red Balloons" is a good Cold War song, if you still need to find one.

true, 99 red balloons, by Goldfinger though, none of the other versions. Goldfinger's is the best.

not actually in AP Euro, was just surfin and thought I'd input.

i was just listening to 99 red balloons...

anyway, we finished the '90s a few days ago... :)

....which is to say: FINISHED WITH THE TEXTBOOK! AHAHHAHA!! WOO HOO! 1 whole month to review!!!

WOW.

we are nominally doing pre-WWI stuff at the moment, although our class is really just random rants of our history teacher. it was nietzsche one day, impressionism the next, back to imperialism the day before... ay, i'm going to fail this test :(

crosscurrent, remember when writing the essays for this exam...donot end any sentence with a preposition...where is your class (at)

also our class is also pre WWI, i probably will have to finish the material on my own.
