AP Exam score 5 = 4 ?

Hello,

Do you guys think in the admissions there is a difference between score of 4 and 5 on AP exam/s ?

The colleges that give college credit based on AP tests won’t set their standards as high as a 5. The top colleges usually require at most a 4. The only thing a 5 will do is make you stand out and show your strong understanding of the subject.

Colleges don’t officially use AP scores for the admission process. Based on that, 1=2=3=4=5=nothing.

Actually, a 5 is required in some cases for credit (really top colleges). My college doesn’t usually require 5s but there are different requirements if you are majoring in a field (biology majors must have a 5 on the AP Biology test to skip introductory biology classes).

Just like aldfig0 said, some colleges will require 5’s on certain AP tests for credit.
