When is a good time to start studying for them? I started around spring break last year (which i think is toooo early because I didn't retain most of the information as I thought) and I got a 4 on AP EURO. I'm thinking about 3-4 weeks before the exams?

I am starting now because I haven't cracked open any of my books since I got them and I'm panicking. Six AP's to study for, three self-study. come on.

bumpppp please

April. You don't want to start too early, 'cause then you have to review again what you reviewed, but you don't want to start too late, 'cause then you're cramming. So I'd say start planning your study schedule and don't start any later than April 15th.

april is like a few days away. start studying next weekend.

APs,SATI,SATIIs,ACT...May is such a hard month for me=.=

Most AP teachers start between April 1st and the 15th and review til the exams. I just came from an AP review session for econ that was held on an off-school day.

A month 1/2 should be more than enough to review a years worth of stuff...or just enough to get a 3.

I would say that the best way is to start early but go slow- then when it gets closer, start doing a lot of practice questions and hardcore studying. That way, I think you retain more material because it's not like you forgot all of it from too-spread-out studying, and not like you crammed and missed out on things.

(refrain from the "that's what she said" jokes regarding the "start slow, end fast")

thats what she said

this spring is going to be impossible. 3 AP tests, 1 SAT, 1 ACT, 3 SAT IIs...

I planned by testing so my May and June wouldn't be so hectic like that. I'm taking AP tests in May and 3 SATII's in June but I took my first SAT and ACT in January/Feb and will retake in October of my senior year.

thats what she said

how does that joke apply to what llpitch siad?

y not start now? lol
or at least a light review before u go and really sit down to study

i started studying last week and i already feel overwhelmed!

if you dont really have a lot of afterschool commitments, i guess it wouldve been fine to start this month...BUT like me, if you do a varsity sport, student govt, band, and newspaper, it never hurts to start early :).

i would start studying now

If you're in alot of AP's (4+), start now. if you're in 1-3, wait till April Break or about 3 weeks from the exams.

I am so scared about these tests, especially chemistry! I don't know how to cram it all in.

Same here!
AP Stats and APUSH exams seem easy compared to AP Chemistry
:(

AP Calc (which I took last year) seems so simple compared to the super-daunting tasks of essay writing on the APUSH and AP Lit exams.
