AP French Study Thread -- 2010 Edition

if by “french year of french” you mean “fourth year of french”, then yeah :p

@riku Your school isn’t the only one with a messed up French dept >< It’s so sad, we had three French teachers last year, and two of them are retiring! It’s because our school offered massive rewards for older teachers who would retire to make way for new, cheaper teachers. So, we have one real French teacher left, and I heard rumors that one of the new Latin teachers coming in also speaks French, so we’ll see if she takes over a class or two -.- Ridiculous…

@wah Oh, yeah, definitely.

LOL yea… fourth year of french :stuck_out_tongue:
ehhh hopefully an actually college course in french would be enough to master the ap french exam
thankss

I’ve been reading this thing since it first started hahaa. I took the exam this year and my whooole class said the same things that you guys said. Weird listening section, extreeeemely hard reading. My school has an 100% passing rate, but this year was just…ugh

This year the passing rate was 89% according to my teacher…ahhh

haha my French teacher just called me telling me I got a 5! Woot! I was worried about the speaking section… but it’s all water under the bridge now, I guess. This made my day!

I got a 3!!! I’m happy though. I only did french 1,2, and ap. Aka only a year and a half of French!

Well, I’m from Ontario, which means that I get a lot of practice in French, but not as much as you would in Quebec, and I started learning French as a third language in grade seven. I took the AP exam a year early, in grade 10. To study, i had a schedule. I would do writing monday, then reading a French book out loud tuesday, vocabulary wednesdar, grammar thursday and friday, and i think oral reading again saturday. I took sundays off. Almost every day, i would at least do part of an AP practice exam booklet, but usually the whole thing. I also listen to french music constantly, but that’s because i love it, and i had practice sessions with my teacher at school. I didn’t take the course the same year as the exam, i’m taking it after the exam instead.

Just a quick question, did any of you use REA AP French? If yes, pls lemme know is it good? Oh and lemme know ur opinion on the book as well.

Thanxx
