it feels weird that people haven’t taken it yet lol it’s been hours since I have… really want to discuss some things on the test

hi azif. I haven’t taken the exam yet (I’m going to in about an hour… i live in california lol), and even tho the west coast kids are the last to take the exams, lets hold off on discussing questions until the two-day embargo is lifted. we dont want all our tests ( and our hard work!!!) invalidated, right??

Ooh good luck!..seriously good luck

If it weren’t for mother nature I’d be getting ready to take this exam right now.
Bonne chance!

How much longer until the embargo is lifted? Then we can discuss how it was for us all :)

really, really bad. But at least i’m liberated!

That was certainly interesting, and it certainly proved that I do not know how to speak French.

To be less pessimistic, everything was quasi-alright besides the reading comprehension. I had no idea what one of the passages was about and pretty much skipped all but one of its questions. I’m predicting a 2.

Keasbey Nights - I FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY!!! I think I know which passage you’re talking about (because I didn’t understand ANYTHING from that one and guessed c’s for almost all the answers)… The reading comp was HARD.

That test kind of sucked.

That statement is a lot of an understatement.

I’m talking about the second to last passage.

i thought everything was easy except speaking where i blanked

Keasbey Nights - YES. I didn’t get ANYTHING from it. Nothing. At all. Nada. Zip.

meadow - how long have you been taking french?

That was so bad.

I actually thought it was really easy! Except the speaking which I kind of blanked on. But I’m pretty confident I got a 4 or 5! The one problem was that our casettes were all messed up and it took 45 minutes to get those working.

For everyone who thought it was easy, how long have you guys been taking French? (and even those who thought it was difficult can answer…)

Reading comp was terrible… Other than that I’m extremely confident.

i thought i did great, until the speaking part. for the first one i only spoke for 45 seconds and the second was 30 because of the stupid program my school was using. i calculated my estimated score using last year’s curve though and i ended up with a 125 (one point below a 5)
so i think i’m in a good position to get a 4 at least…

How much would that suck if you were one point away?

I wish I felt that confident…

it would suck SO much! but i don’t NEED a five anyways.
i thought i missed 4 max on the listening, 5 max on the passages ( i actually think i didn’t miss any, but i’ll just assume one per passage), missed two on each verb/fill-in, got a 7 essay, and a 16 on speaking (2, 2, 4, 4, 4)
Watch me end up getting like a 2. :(

Oh, and I’ve taken french for 5 years. And have french family. And have been to france about 5 times. And have a lot of french/quebecois friends. And have seen like 15 movies in french. Sooooo :)

sciencefrenchie, i’ve been taking french for 11 years, i went to a french immersion elementary school and lived with a french family and been to france 4 times so i’m pretty confident that i got a 5

Not only was I terrible at speaking, but I got confused at when to start recording cuz my machine was very old and difficult to work with. So I started answering the first question before it was asked, realized my mistake, stopped the machine, and then started over at the right time without recording over it. Will they not grade that question, or am I ok?
