Are there any eaxam preparation books for the AP German exam out there, or any practice tests I could find? All I know is the test format and have a grammar book to study, as well as doing other stuff to try and immerse myself in the language, but I'd well a lot more prepared if I could at least take some practice tests, besides the sampler on collegeboard.com. If anyone could help me out, it'd be appreciated. Thanks :)

Hi, I don't take AP German - I take AP Spanish, but my bestfriend did take AP German and here's what she had to say.
Tell the person who wrote it that all of the test prep materials are ****. Tell them so A) read der Spiegel, B) listen to DeutsclandRadioBerlin, or another German public radio on the internet, C) get a German penpal and talk to him/her on the phone! and C) watch German movies, which you can easily find on Netflix. This is from the person who got a 4 on the AP Exam : )

^
Agreed. There is very little out prep material out there for the AP German exam. Ask your German teacher if she has old AP tests.

Whatever you do, don't underestimate the exam; I think it's one of the toughest AP exams. Even our German exchange students thought it was hard!

You really think it is hard? I've done some practice essays, and I didn't find them at all difficult. I generaly found the free-response section to be somewhat easy. Now, the multiple choice section is kind of tricky, and while there are some pretty difficult questions, I didn't think it was overall hard.

Multiple choice was easy, as was the essay (my prompt was what would you do with a million Euros...soooooo easy). I didn't like the speaking part of the exam, though (especially that darned cartoon). :( I got a 4, so I guess it wasn't too bad.
