Ok I took AP USH and got a 5 and 800 on the SAT II, personally i thought this was a pretty easy AP even though my teacher kept stressing how this was probably the hardest history AP. Now for AP Gov. people have said that I don't need a review book if i took APUSH as it's the same thing. Is it really taht easy? because I haven't really learned anything yet and the textbook we're using "American Government wilson and Dilulio":American Government Advanced Placement, James Q. Wilson, Book - Barnes & Noble doesn't seem very good. I haven't felt I've learned anything very indepth lol is this normal?

How hard is the AP Gov because my schools is only doing 1 term (fall term) and then giving us economics in the spring term and expects us to take the ap in the second term so is it really that easy? Any suggestions/tips/reactions/experience is greatly appreciated.

There’s a lot of stuff in gov that’s not covered in US, but a decent amount of the material is found on both exams, namely court cases, government structure, and some election info. With that being said, the course is pretty easy. However, the textbook you’re using is complete and utter trash (my class used it too). I would recommend getting the Princeton Review guide and going through it. Good luck!

Um I took AP Gov last year, and my school did it as a semester class as well but mine was done in the Spring- and that suckkeeeedddddd. We had to cram. However the AP Gov exam is not easy. I would never classify easy with that class. The background knowledge you get from APUSH helps you in the conceptual parts of the class- but only to an extent. I had a really dry text book and it was a pain to read- but provided an unbiased view of politics. If you text book is similar then you already have an advantage.
I didnt find the Princeton review very useful or Barrons for that matter. I actually found Kaplan to be a really great tool and the number 1 thing I would buy in preparation for this exam is the Barrons Flashcards. Those are amazinggg!! Also if you go to Brightstorm.com you can purchase basically a class that teaches you the AP Gov exam’s crucial points - I did that and that was extremely beneficial.

If you did that well on APUSH then your likely to pass this exam as well. But last year the valedictorians (we have 12) of my school didnt even get a 5 on that exam. Everyone walked out of that exam last year (everyone being the majority of students from the schools in my county) and thought they got a 5 and only 2 kids in my school got a 5.

You’ll do great since you clearly do well on social science exams, I just wouldnt go into that course with a light mentality.
