I am thinking of taking this class online as my school does not offer it, and I was wondering about the difficulty of the course, and is it manageable online?

I’m interested in either AP Gov or AP Euro. If you’ve taken either or both, what did you think? Was it interesting? Relevant? I have a feeling that Gov would be more applicable to my life/career, but I am fond of history as well. Is Gov pure memorization of laws? (the thing I hate about AP US is that we don’t really analyze the effects of laws or talk about their significance, we just regurgitate a bunch of ancronyms).

AP Comparative Gov’t studies the UK, the UN, Russia, China, Iran, Mexico, and Nigeria. More specifically, their current state of affairs, their brief history, and their political/social/economic traits.

It’s a hard class. You have to keep up with everything going on (like the current political crisis in Nigeria) in order to do well. It’s a lot of memorization, but as the course title says, you’re constantly comparing the countries to each other to see their common cleavages.

I think it would be beneficial if I was considering going into International Relations
