Alittle confused here, If you take an AP course opposed to an Honors course, you get more credit in your AP course usually. But does your GPA increase stay the same if you get an A in the Honors or AP? Or does the A in AP have a higher increase in GPA?

Umm, you don't get more high school credit in an AP course (unless you mean by college credit if you pass the exam).

In most schools, AP boosts your GPA higher than honors, but that varies among schools. You'll need to find out how GPA works in your school.

For example, in my school, if I get an A in an AP course, I get 5.0 points. If I get an A in an honors course, I get 4.5 points. That's how they're weighed.

Depends a lot on the school.
In our district we have HPA (which does take into account AP vs Honors credit), and GPA (which doesn't). HPA is used to decide class rank, but a lot of times colleges ask for unweighted GPA.

Like fizix2 said, it depends on the school. At mine, for example, an A+ is worth 4.3 in a regular or honors class; an A+ in an AP class is worth 4.6. So AP classes are weighted, but not honors.

Yes, see what your school does about the GPA. At my school we get a 5 for an A in AP and 4 in Honors.

For weighted, my school gives 5 for both honors and AP.

My school is completely unweighted.

My school has a weird system.

Regular college-prep:

A+=4.66
A=4.33
A-=4.0

Honors:

A+=5.66
A=5.33
A-=5.0

AP:

A+=6.66
A=6.33
A-=6.0

You can see they give more weighted credit for honors and AP courses.

^ eww!......that is weird.

at y school and most of the school in dade county it goes liek this:
ap
A= 6
B=5
C=4

honors
A=5
B=4
C=3

regular
A=4
B=3
C=2
no +/-

What would a B+ be in an AP class?
