I just called in today to get my ap scores back and I did really well on everything except AP Lang which I didn't do too well in. Since I'm going into engineering, will this hurt my chances of getting into colleges such as MIT, Duke, Cornell, Columbia, and Stanford. I know there are many other factors, but say I got a 5 on AP lang instead of what I got. Would that have helped or would it not matter regardless because I'm going into a field in which AP lang is not neccessary?

The effect of one poor AP score is negligible. It would not be enough to turn a potential acceptance into a rejection (or even a waitlist).

You don’t have to report any AP score if you don’t want to, and colleges don’t care about AP scores anyway. So no, it will not affect you.
