When do ap Lang scores come out? just got my regents grades back (93 on English) but no mention of my ap score. Hoping for a 3 so I can opt out of English 101 (community college course I signed up for next year). Someone at my school said if you get a 4 or 5 you can opt out of both 101 and 102, but I would be suprised if I had gotten over a 4. Also, on the college board scoring rubric for the synthesis essay “inadequate” uses only 2 sources, everything higher has 3+ so if I had used at least 3 sources am I almost guaranteed a score of 5 or higher on the synthesis essay? Even if my stance was weak/underdeveloped? I asked my AP teacher and she said as long as I had used 3 sources I would proabbly get at least a 5 on the essay but I just wanted to know if anyone knew for a fact. Synthesis essay was definetly my weakest and that could have been the difference between a 2 and a 3 for me (possibly even a 3 and a 4). I found the argument essay to be an interesting one, many chose to write about ghandi and civil disobedience. I personally wrote about tansgender/gay rights and the controversial bathroom laws that were passed in North Carolina just a few weeks before the AP. Risky, but I feel as if I had stated my claim clearly. Analysis was rather easy in my oppinion, that was was probably
my highest scoring essay. MC was easy except the passage about the farmer/constitution; I had skipped that one and did marketing first then came back to it but didn’t have time to read the whole passage so I skimmed and answered about 3 questions then guessed “B” for the rest… hoping I got a 3, was a stressfull test but I’m glad I had taken it. (My first AP test) Also, I enrolled in AP Biology and APES for next year, any tips for these classes?
AP scores come out in early July, of course:
