Post-AP English Language Test

What'd you guys think?

easy as pie
although I don't think my synthesis was the greatest....
expecting a 5

i was a little worried about the synthesis essay, but that was surprisingly easy to write. uhh...multiple choice was...as expected. not too easy, not too hard. but i totally bombed the last essay.

yeahhh i definitely bombed that last essay :-( it was depressingly bad

everyone in my testing room was like "WHATTTT WAS THERE TO WRITE FOR THAT ESSAY!!!!"

Synthesis and Argumentative were really, really easy in my opinion, I'm expecting 8's on those. I rushed the rhetorical one (the second), but I still think I did decently on that one too, and I thought the multiple choice was a breeze, a lot easier than I was anticipating, so yes

Mlt choice was pretty easy.
Synth Essay was very good.
Rhetorical analysis was good/okay.
Argumentative was okay, kinda had trouble thinking of things to write (because personal experience is lamesauce).

Multiple choice was maaaaad easy, I'm thinking 50+ in terms of raw score, which means I only need a 17 on the three essays, but...

Synthesis = gift
analysis = alright, wrote enough important details even though it was only 2.5 pages long.
Argumentative = easy, used a personal experience but also contemporary and history (history went off topic but I righted the ship by relating it to the topic)

so.. 51, 8, 7, 8 sounds good to me for a 5 :)

anyone want to start a chat room
i thought mc was easy,, but then i always think they are easy in my practice ones and turns out i get them wrong most of the time

Ach. I'm so jealous.

I came into school in the morning, expecting to take the test, and then my principal came in and was all, "You can't miss another Speech Class."

Because 3+ classes and I fail the mandatory college course, and I've already missed 2 because of AP Calc BC and AP USH, and will miss this Friday due to the Model UN Competition.

So to make a long story short, Brookdale Community College has screwed me over. I can't make up my AP English Lit test, because...it's on a Friday morning, and I have Speech classes then, on Wed and Fri.

I mean, what the effin' hell?

Usually I do really well on the MC and ok on the essays, but for some odd reason I thought the MC were hard (I'm the only one who thinks that I guess >_<) but the essays were good.

Synthesis was good

Rhetorical Strategies essay was long >_< I didn't feel like reading it, so I read the first paragraph and a little bit of the last part. The evidence came mostly from the first paragraph and one came from the end lol. But I think I did really well.

I got really lucky on the argumentative essay because the topic was almost exactly like one our teacher gave us in class, so I had the examples ... but alot of them were personal, but I think I made them work.

I hope the essays will boost my grade, b/c I think I missed alot on the MC.

I think the multiple choice had some traps, but if you got the gist of each passage you should have had little trouble on any of the "passage" (as in not asking for literary terms) questions.

Although I have no idea on how well I did on the MC, I thought Essays were pretty good.
Rhetorical Essay was in my opinion the most simple to do,
Synthesis was not much different from AP Euro's DBQ style question
and Argumentative essay was well.. like SAT.. :(
But workable with 40min.

Yeah, overall the test was a lot easier than I expected. But on MC I left 10 blank because I didn't get to the last 4 and couldn't go back to other ones. :( I think I did well on the first two essays but on the last one I only had like 1 and a half examples because I ran out of time! ahh. Can I still get a 4?!

I really enjoyed this exam. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it was my LAST exam that made me not stress so much about it.
I agree with everyone else-- I don't think the multiple choice was bad at all. I was afraid I'd be under time constraints, but I had time to go back and check everything.

It was my last exam too! woohoo =D

AIM chatroom?

aim: aplang07

okay....sign on!!!!

this multiple choice was much easier then the practice tests i've been taking, and seemed easier than previous exams that i have seen. I probably got 45-48 right on the multiple choice, and the essays were just a joke. Minimum score of an 8 on each for sure.

The MC was okay. I just hoping I got a good portion right (maybe 40/5x), and the rest wrong (but I know that's not happening). My synthesis essay was sweey, my argumentative was good, but I think I fell into logical fallacy, and the analysis was good, but I forgot to cite direct quotes! I was so upset with myself. I figure the higest I can get on that essay is a 5 maybe? Hoping for a 4.
