Hopefully Catcher In The Rye, Catch-22, Heart of Darkness, Brave New World, or Grendel

if I have to, I'll use Hamlet, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, Master Harold And The Boys, The Importance of Being Earnest, or Pride and Prejudice.

...but I really hope I don't have to.

super-backup-reserve-mindblank-phailsauce essay: LoTR >_<

now off to sparknotes and take a practice test....and waking up in 5 hours to take the test. :(
no sleep for me i guess

My books:
The Jungle
Tale of Two Cities
Beloved
Wuthering Heights
Huckleberry Fin
Great Gatsby

That's what I have so far. Now, to just go to sparknotes and try to remember everything about them ... then try to sleep for 7 hours.

Oh and also add Pygmalion to my list.

I'm really hoping I'll be able to use Tess of the d'Urbervilles. I'm a little surprised no one's mentioned that here yet...

If not, hopefully Beloved. I feel like I know those two books the best out of the ones I've actually read over the past couple years.

I'll try to avoid 1984 and Hamlet if at all possible, because judging by this forum, EVERYONE will be using one of those two books for their essay.

Looks like my choices will be:

Beloved, Cyrano, P & P, Animal farm, maybe bluest eye, macbeth, brave new world, and whatever comes to mind.

and if all else fails...I'm going to use Watchmen[power corrupts]! or Spiderman[great power comes great responsibiity]! or X-men[Hatred only breads more hatred. And it's parallels to the past and present views on racism]!!

YEAH! Comic books FTW!

A Fine Balance
Snow
Angela's Ashes
Catch-22
Slaughterhouse-Five
Animal Farm
1984

As you can see I like political books :D
