I’m a Junior thinking about taking AP Lit next year. Does anyone know how the exam for that is ? &Does the exam require an essay ?

You should look up such basic information about the exam yourself - it’s readily available on the collegeboard website. The exam includes three essays.

Oh Okay Thanks

Three essays in 120 minutes. Essays are 55% of the score. 55 MCQs in 60 minutes.

Oh Okay. That’s more helpful Thanks. What are the essays usually about ?

One is poetry (sometimes a comparative analysis of two poems), one is a prose excerpt, and the third is on a book you’ve read (the test gives you a specific theme and asks you to write about a book or play “of literary merit” that includes that theme–you must discuss how that theme relates to the larger theme of the work as a whole).

Oh Okay … Because I’ll be taking AP Lit next year so I was just curious. Thanks for the help!
