Hi all!
I’m currently a sophomore. I’m taking a math and science honors course and ap computer science A right now. I was talking to our dean of students and he said I could maybe take an online ap course and get it put on my transcript with the word “pass” or “fail” next to it, only if the provider was reputable. I was thinking of Taking AP Microeconomics (I love reading about the economy, mainly because of my MUN participation) on apex learning. I have just a few questions:
Is apex learning an accredited and trustworthy place to take an AP course?
Is the time commitment crazy for this online course? (I get home at 6:45 everyday; i plan to do a majority of course work over the weekend)
Is the online class super hard?
Noooooo. Please do not do anything with Apex Learning. Try Keystone. Apex has the worst delivery of information you will ever encounter. I am currently taking AP Macro and Micro and I will say that Apex is NOT a reflection of what I can do as a student. Upon asking for help, the teacher just gives me the answer with no explanation as to how he got it. Yes it might give you a free point but it will screw you over when you have to use the same equation or concept on a test or quiz.
@vgklol Try Florida Virtual Public Schools. AP Micro and Macro are one semester each. Personally I found AP Micro to be extremely easy, just understand the charts and you’ll be fine
Disclaimer: I’ve taken AP Micro at my school, although I have taken other classes online. You do have to put some time into them
