Which would colleges rather see on your app-AP courses or Dual Enrollment courses?

duel enrollment I believe

At my schol, all the GCs say that colleges prefer to see the AP Class (especially since college classes can be very laid back) We also had a speaker from Harvard come to our school and she said that AP is prefered

This depends on the class and the school. For instance many schools offer APs in core subjects while a student can DE in something more specific to their future interest. Keep in mind the more specific the class the less likely your future university will take the credit. You may get the bump in admissions for course rigor but if your goal is college credit choose carefully. Also if GPA is really important to you consider if AP is weighted and DE is not. At my kids school this is the case. My most recent grad took mostly AP classes with one DE simply due to his schedule and EC commitments, however I thought later that if a student loaded up on DE as opposed to AP this could be a potential drawback.

Good luck!

Highly selective colleges generally will not accept DE credits, but they to tend to accept AP/IB.
