***AP Physics 1 Thread 2014-2015***

Where is the released test? I cannot find it on the AP website…

What are you guys getting on the released test MC?

@rhubarbb on the practice test: 34/50

39/50

Where are you guys getting this released test?

Only available from a teacher.

Anyone find decent online review resources?

What equations do you guys find essential that are not on the reference sheet?

Since I feel like it’s only sporting to provide some more information…

I would add the following equations/laws into your calculator:

-How to calculate the fundamental frequency of a string
-How to calculate the frequency of a pipe that is either open, or closed at one end
-How to express a transverse wave as a sine/cosine function
-Kirchoff’s Circuit Laws

I feel like there might be others, but these seem to be the most important items that are omitted from the AP formula sheet.

@Tiberium Oh hey, I didn’t learn any of these -_-
Thanks for the info though!

@Tiberium

I don’t think you need to know how to express transverse waves as a sine or cosine function. They didn’t mention that anywhere, and I haven’t seen that on any of the tests. But I guess you could put it on there just in case.

Other than that, everything else is a topic that could be on the test.

35/50

The test really is not that hard…I got a 70% raw score and 40/50 on MC…just use your brain and don’t be cramming idiots. Seriously get a good night’s sleep and work out before the test so you are ready to think well.

I already have the Barron’s AP Physics 1/2 Book… Should I review the multiple choice of the AP Physics 1 part?? I already went through the book and one practice test but I found SOOO MANY mistakes…

I am able to pick up on the mistakes… but will that practice be of any benefit?

My teacher said that standing waves weren’t on the test because it wasn’t on the formula sheet… Furthermore, he never gave us that practice test that everyone has… I am screwed. I secretly hope that the practice test will be leaked online, so I wont go in completely blind…

Anyone know a possible curve for a 3-5?

5: 60%
4: 50%
3: 40%
2: 30%
1: 30%

But nobody knows since it’s a new test

5 steps to a 5 says this may be the curve:
5: 65-100%
4: 50-64%
3: 35-49%
2: 21-34%
1: 0-20%

Does anyone know how to do #3 (the one about g on the planet, given density and radius) on the practice test?

Can someone send me the practice test?
