@2016seniorga I think so
It can be, depending on the amount of people who take it. However, they try to standardize the tests so that they can all be graded along the same curve.
However, considering that this is a new exam, anything goes (especially considering that we don’t even know what the normal curve looks like, yet).
I had to take my ap physics 1 exam on the last day of school, and right after I had to take my IB physics HL 1 spring semester final right after. MY BRAIN WAS FRIED
Just curious, but was the exam as hard for you as it was for me? It was one of the worst experiences ever. I am banking on the fact that for Physics B you could get like 35%of the points and still make a 3. Not sure how this is going to be though.
Distributions are not released yet, but this is my guess…
5- 7%
4- 16%
3- 34%
2- 25%
1- 18%
As long as it’s not 4-5% 5s, I’ll be happy.
The exam was actually easier than I thought it’d be, but I still know I messed up a few MCQs and an FRQ for sure.
Here’s my teacher’s raw score estimate:
5- 68% (College board this year is looking to give out less 5s in general, according to him)
4- 48%
3- 33% (Most people on this forum will easily get a 3, and this will be the most common score)
2- 19%
1- 0—> 17.9
Shouldn’t some people receive their scores soon through their college?
Maybe
I feel like I’m getting a 4 on this test.
Score distributions are out!
2015 AP Physics 1 scores: 5: 4.1%; 4: 12.8%; 3: 20%; 2: 30.2%; 1: 32.9%
Low avg scores on the AP Physics 1 free-response questions (32%, 27%, 22%, 39%, 23%) show why the % of 4s and 5s is small this first year.
Score distributions can be found here: https://twitter.com/AP_Trevor/status/614474572067381248
So yes, AP Physics 1 did have a 4% 5 rate, as Trevor previously mentioned…
this doesn’t account for late exam right?
oh frick…i’m so screwed
i actually thought i might get a 5 because i thought i did good on the free responses, but now, idk
@2016seniorga No, it counts for all scores, regardless of late testing.
A 63% fail rate. Yikes!!!
ok cause the link he had were totally different questions from my late exam
Trevor puts a disclaimer if the distribution does not include late testing: “These may shift slightly as late exams are scored.” As the last exams were scored on 6/17, I’d assume that the late testing is included.
