I want to go to either ut Austin or texas a&m for engineering. For my senior year, should I take Ap physics b & Ap chemistry or just Ap physics c. I want to do chemE but I think it would be easier to get into mechE and then transfer switch to chemE. Any advice is appreciated.

Have you already taken a chem class in high school? if so, then I would go with physics C because colleges like to see that you have taken at least one class of physics, chem, and bio in high school. Also, since you are majoring in engineering most likely, an advanced physics class would most likely help you more than chemistry. Plus, I took AP chem a few years back and it was a pain in the a**.
Maybe I’m biased, but I’d go with Physics C :)

I would go with AP Phy C since you get tons of credits if you get a 4 or 5. I am planning to major in ChemE.

AP chem wasn’t bad. I got a 4 last year (Junior) @Wasian 88

@swimmer12345. I also did very well in it (5-sophomore), but the difficulty of the class varies from school to school. I come from an extremely competitive high school, so the class was rigorous compared to the others at my high school.

Thanks. I think I’ll go with ap physics c. Especially because I’m most likely applying for mechE.
