AP Physics B?

Hello.

I’m a Junior, and I have started homeschooling this year. I’ve already gotten through a week of AP Physics 1, and though everything is going well, I just got an idea. How bad would it for me to homeschool AP Physics B instead?

I fully intend to take the physics subject test, and the general concenus is that AP Physics B helps better prepare for that. I also already have 2 (or 3) AP Physics B books that I bought last year (not knowing that the test was canceled).

Taking Physics B would allow me to cover more material, take AP phsysics C next year, better prepare for subject tests, and in general seems like a win-win. Only downside is I won’t be able to take the AP exam (but i’ll just take the Calculus one) and schools might think I literally don’t know anything about the outside world as a homeschooler since I’m studying for a disbanded test.

Any thoughts? Should I just finish AP physics 1 this year, and do another subject test instead? Or maybe study the remaining parts junior year summer?

Thanks a bunch

P.S. - I should also note that I plan to major in Physics/Accounting/Economics and do pre-med.
If physics wasn’t on that list I wouldn’t be asking this question. I’d simply do a different subject test and stick with AP physics 1. But it is on that list, so I don’t know how bad it will look if I take Math 2 and say, Bio or US Hisotry Instead of Math 2 and Physics (if I go in as a physics major)

The Physics B material was split into a more conceptual AP Physics 1 and AP Physics 2. Yes, colleges won’t understand why you are studying AP Physics B. The new curriculum is designed so that high schoolers conceptually understand material rather than ‘plugging and chugging’ numbers into formulas. So, I think its beneficial to take AP Physics 1 and 2 and also show your skills on SAT Physics.
