AP Physics C online at EPGY?

So, has anyone taken this class and used EPGY? If so, what was your experience like? Did they really teach/help you, or did you have to wor A LOT on your own? Thanks!

I took AP Physics C (both mechanics and EM) from EPGY. i haven’t taken a physics course before this, so this was my first ever physics course.
EPGY really prepares you for the AP test. If you do well in these courses, you do well on the AP test.
The work load is significant, but it’s definitely doable. You should do all the hw problems they give you, even though it’s not required. they’re challenging and they prepare you well for the AP tests. The lectures sometimes help, but really, you learn more from actually solving problems than watching lectures (and EPGY gives a lot of problems to solve)
So to answer your question, yes it does teach/help you. But you have to do a lot of work.

got a 5 on both Physics C exams from taking EPGY without prior physics knowledge.
hope this helps. ask more if you want.

Hi 8kobe24

Could you please tell me more about the AP Physics C courses at EPGY?

 • Did you take them via the self-directed program or through the on-line high school part?
 • The website indicates the workload will be about 10 hours a week in order to finish one course in a semester. Does that seem reasonable to you, or is it more like 15 plus hours a week?
 • Were the labs both virtual / CD-ROM style and hands-on, do it at home? If so, how easy was it to do the labs at home – find the materials necessary, etc.
 • Was there good teacher support - answering questions if need be, etc?
 • Were tests, lab reports, etc mailed back and forth or completed on-line?

Thanks for any help you can give! :-)
