AP Physics C without Calculus knowledge?

Hi everyone,
I'm a senior in high school and going to take AP Physics C and AP Calculus AB cocurrently.

However I'm very worried about physics, because people told me it would be hard as hell to take it without taking any previous calculus course.

But then some other people told me only basics of calculus are used in Physics C, so it would not be a problem to take it if I am taking AP Calculus AB cocurrently.

What should I do? Any opinion?

P.S. I took AP Physics B last year and I did quite well...

Watch PatrickJMT’s videos
on Youtube so you can learn some
calculus. Good Luck!

You’ll be OK, probably, but it will be much more difficult than if you’d already taken calculus. Good luck.

concurrent works

You should be okay especially since you already took Physics B.
From my personal experience, last year I took Physics C and BC Calculus at the same time (without prior calculus knowledge). There were some parts at the beginning of the school year that I had to self-study a bit (derivatives & integrals). However, after the first few months of Calc AB you should be fine. The calculus in Physics C really isn’t that difficult IMO

Thanks thebrainyone, that encouraged me a lot. I am pretty sure I will be one of the very few or even the only one to take physics C without any prior calculus knowledge in my physics C class, so I guess it will be kind of embarrassing to start physics class compared to my peers… w/e I’ll catch up anyways.

Thanks RPreZZ! I’ll take a look at the videos before school starts to gear up :)
