ap physics

i already posted this in the sat subject test forum, but decided to post it here too to see if i get any more responses...

i am in a honors physics class and am taking the subject test in may,
i was going to study for the ap physics b, but then my school said they will have a ap physics b class next year, so i am considering taking that...
so i was wondering if i should study for the ap B anywy.. so i can do ap physics c next yr..

would studying for the sat subject test be around the same info as studying for ap physics b ( i would be willing to prepare more if i were to take the ap)??

The AP exams are generally much more difficult than their SAT Subject versions.

i heard ap physics c is really hard, so try just doing ap physics b.

The subject test and physics b have all the same topics, but the subject test is almost all direct formula application, whereas physics b needs a little more thinking. Studying for one is akin to studying for the other, although you might need to know a few more formula’s for the subject test.

If you are studying for the subject test, might as well take physics b. Just do a lot of FRQ’s until you have those down.
