[AP PSYCHOLOGY EXAM REVIEW](http://wchs.woodfordschools.org/apreview/default.htm)

Very thorough.

Can someone explain standard deviation? I understand what it is but I don’t know how to do questions like these:

If the variance of a set of scores is 100, the standard deviation will be
a. 5
b. 10
c. 25
d. 50
e. 125

Variance = Standard Deviation Squared.
Therefore, Square root of variance = S.D

So for your question, the answer is 10.

If anyone feels that the exposure to a representative sample of the material before the test is in any way beneficial, please access the link below for a full practice exam:

It is, of course, advisable to only complete a mere portion of the exam.

I have a good one for “hippocampus.” The hippocampus is responsible for memory and you would remember if you saw a hippo on campus!

^I remember it because I was thinking “Oh, memory like a hippo!” Then I realized that’s elephant. And now I remember my stupidity, and thus, the term hippocampus :D

I have taken one practice exam recently (the 2004 test) and achieved approximately 135/150 (the cutoff was about 100 for a 5 I believe), so I feel confident for tomorrow. I have yet to take a Chemistry practice test, however.

Ouch Chemistry and Psych? And if I remember correctly they’re one after the other. Psych is not that challenging, but after Chem I would be out of gas. Good luck!

^ Thanks. Yes, I am glad that Psychology succeeds Chemistry, as I certainly expect the latter to be more taxing.

My school doesn’t offer AP Psych, but I really want to take it online… do I do it through collegeboard? I looked on the website and couldn’t find anything, I guess I have to call up, or what?

What’s reticular formation?

^ I believe it is a part of the brainstem that controls arousal, but someone can correct me if not.

yeah it is. thanks for reminding me.

what are human factors?

yep, that’s reticular formation. it’s in the midbrain too. and snoopydog1—just go buy a Barron’s book and self-study. easy as that.

I’m in the same boat as you, silverturtle! Good luck to both of us!

haha, I’m the same boat as well. Good luck, you guys!

I wish I had “eidetic” memory so I wouldn’t have to rely on my feeble “semantic” memory.

I am so occupied with ES, that I don’t have time for Psych :frowning:

In what psychosocial stage do we begin to assume roles and stuff? I picked Identity versus Role Confusion but they said it was industry versus inferiority on the ap psych 1999.

bljd- really? wow. ok.
