AP Question..."Departmental"? "LSA Bulletin"?

So AP scores came out, and I've got all 5's (yay!) but now I'm very confused...the AP chart that the admissions office has set up indicates that both AP Lit and AP Statistics's credit is "English Departmental" and "Statistics Departmental".

What on earth does that mean?

Also, for Psychology, it says I can place out of Psych 111, but also says I should "View the LSA Bulletin"...I looked through it, and saw no notice or anything about it.

Somebody want to translate what all of this means for me?

Here is the chart I was looking at, just so y'all know what I'm talking about...

<a href="http://www.admissions.umich.edu/academics/apguidelines.html#lsa%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissions.umich.edu/academics/apguidelines.html#lsa</a></p>

"Departmental" credit means that they don't have a course equivalent number to grant you credit for. So they give you credits, but instead of having "English 235" listed on your transcript (for example), it will list "English Departmental"

Well, I am planning to major in English...does that mean some of the credit might go towards my major? Or is it all electives credit?
