AP Scholar awards

Alright guys, calm down. You should already know what award you're getting. It's just a matter of getting a piece of paper that tells you, don't worry too much about it.

:)

I'm in NC too and I still haven't gotten mine. I qualify for the ap scholar with honor, but nothing has come in the mail.

I live in california and nope I haven't got it (cannednish)

Am I disqualified for a Nation AP Scholar award because I scored below a 3 on ONE exam?

did anyone in CA get theirs??? and could i use it on application for like awards or something?

haven't gotten mine yet (CA)

i haven't gotten mine in KY.
how do we know if we are a state scholar?

^ Nope, didn't get mine yet.

yes got mine in FL.

lucky... although I'm not going crazy over it...:)

Haven't got mine in Princeton Junction, NJ (yeah, you can guess which building I can see from my rooftop... okay not literally).

I think I'm the only sophomore (now a junior) in my school to be an AP Scholar :).

The AP summary statistics on the college board web-site are for tests administered in 2004. Does anyone know when the 2005 version of the summary statistics are supposed to come out?

Additionally, in the past I saw a different spreadsheet from the college board that listed the number of students at a particular AP Scholar level by state. I printed out last year's copy but can not find the actual link anymore. If anyone knows where I can find this it would be appreciated.

BTW, perhaps this should become a thread of its own. If I do not see many responses I will start up a thread.

the summary statistics for 2005 are out; however i cant find anything regarding the scholar awards.

Ryan2288,

Thanks but that is not the summary information that I was looking for. Here are links to the 2 pages that have the links I am looking for:

First, the page that has the link to the state summary for AP scholars and the number of each designation, it is on the top right of the page and is titled: AP Scholars Report 2004:

<a href="http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/article/0,,150-157-0-2057,00.html%5B/url%5D">http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/article/0,,150-157-0-2057,00.html</a></p>

The second is the state summaries for the number of tests taken by subject, gade, scores etc. Here is the reference from the AP web-site:

<a href="http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/exgrd_sum/2004.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/exgrd_sum/2004.html</a></p>

I am looking for the number of AP Scholars at each designation after the junior year of high school broken down by state.

notice how i said that i couldnt find the scholar award reports.

ryan2288,

Understood, I was hoping that by providing the full context others could reply. Thanks for the help.

does anyone know how many exams you need for state scholar for less competitive southern states? Im guessing 14 or 15.

ryan2288

A prep school student won for MA and one of the Carolinas with 5s on 10 tests. I saw it on the Groton School website.
