I know folks have been posting for several weeks that they have received notification about their AP score awards - the AP Scholar type stuff.

Has anyone that is pretty sure they fit one of the award categories not received notification yet? College board said they will not discuss the awards over the phone, we have to wait for the mail notification.

we JUST got ours, like 5 minutes ago....D sent in an application already, so whatever....don't think the title ads anything to the scores the schools see anyway

Yeah, my daughter should have ""AP Scholar with Distinction" but we haven't received anything.

After the fiasco with grading this past summer, I was just grateful that my d's tests were scored properly and transmitted to her college in a timely manner.

My son received a duplicate of an award he received last year, plus a new one for this year in the same envelope. We've no idea why CB sent a duplicate.

Ours arrived today. Of course it was wrong, since mathson forgot to put in his SS# last time he took the test so they have him as two separated kids.

college kid doesn't care but if he had not already known the award levels and put down the AP award before he got the letter he wouldn't have put it on his college apps...so my advice would be to figure out which award level your kid is and put it on the app..don't wait for the letter. It might come 6-9 months too late.

For college applications, kids can only put down the awards based on AP tests taken through Junior year. Awards based on Senior year tests are obviously going to be too late to matter in the college application game.
