AP Scholar with Distinction?

Hi all,
So we are having a heated discussion about whether AP Scholar with Distinction should take up one of the 5 honor slots in the Common App if you have other regional/state level honors. On the one hand, it is a national award that everyone recognizes and it summarizes quickly a level of academic achievement but on the other hand, the AP scores are listed on the application, so someone can read the scores directly .

Awards that would replace it would be Boy’s State or a state level writing award.

Thoughts?

Boys State or Writing award before AP Distinction

My opinion: Boys State > the writing award > AP Scholar.

My daughter didn’t include it, as it’s redundant with the AP scores listed.

D21 did not include it. Had more unique accomplishments. They will see the self reported scores and know.

If they are submitting a resume it could go there.

Thanks everyone. I stand corrected

In terms of last slot, Boy’s State (although really a school level award) .

In least in early application, no resume allowed so use Add Info section and list writing awards (gold key, and a state one).

I realize Additional Information was controversial in earlier thread.
