AP Score Advice

ok so here's my problem. i did well on all my ap exams but for ap english language, i got a 3. I'm applying to top tech schools like caltech, mit, etc. and i know they don't care about humanities as much as they do about math and science but is a 3 bad enough that i shouldn't send the score. in other words, which will benefit me more for admissions to send it (showing i took the challenge) or not send it?

thanks!

I'm pretty sure Caltech won't care at all. MIT shouldn't care either, but I can't really speak for them. I got a 3 on French language, but even schools that weren't so techy focused didn't seem to care one bit. And btw, Caltech doesn't accept any AP credit, so there's no real point in sending it anyway.

I sent my 3 in language and 2 in us history (5s in chem, bio, calc, programming, human geography). Still got in :P

Send in all your scores, period. Why would you think a score of 3 is better than no score at all?

The Common Application (which Caltech uses) has lots of space for self-reporting AP test scores.

Yeah, tokenadult has it right. Always send in your scores, even if you're not too proud of them. It can't hurt. And schools like to see a little bit of academic risk. Heck, I got a three in chemistry (that test was hard haha!) and still sent it.
