also, those of you who have cancelled ap scores before, what do they mean by AP number on that cancelling paper? I don't know my number...im just trying to cancel ap english..

and will my high school find out about me cancelling the score? how?

plzplzplz help..I don/t have much time
thank you!

I’m not sure if this is the same for every school. But for my school, we’re encouraged not to cancel our scores because whether we do bad or not, the scores won’t appear anywhere on our transcript. Colleges won’t see them unless you send it to them. I was going to cancel my scores too, until they told me about this policy.

Your AP number is on the little booklet they gave you. It’s the one with all the serial # stickers inside. If you lost it then…I guess you should call collegeboard.

The AP number labels that you put on your booklet for AP English is the number you will need to provide them in order for the score to be canceled. But I wouldn’t suggest canceling; often people do a lot better than they think they did. Both years in the past I doubted that I passed any of my AP exams and I passed all of them, some with higher scores than I would have ever thought.

Well, look on the bright side. Now you get to know what you actually scored. If you passed, it is a blessing in disguise that you couldn’t find the booklet.

It might not be easy, but then again it may be worth trying, since I’ve never canceled a score. Maybe someone else has some insight to this issue?

yes, if you get a bad score you simply don’t send it to the school. The only thing the college admissions will see is the ap classes taken on your transcript. If you didn’t pass the ap exam but passed the ap class then simply don’t get college credit for the class
