Awesome job @nicknick567! Why’d you take both Lit and Lang in the same year though?
AP Chemistry-5
AP Computer Science A-5
AP Calculus BC-5(Subscore: 5)
AP Macroeconomics-5
AP Microeconomics-5
AP World History-5
Calc BC-Honestly, I didn’t feel so hot about this test. However, the curve is extremely generous
and 40%+ got a 5, so I think it wasn’t so bad. Yeah, some of the FRQs were disgusting and made
many careless errors on the MC, but like 66% is a 5, so not too surprising.
Microeconomics-LOVE Microeconomics. Thus, the score wasn’t unexpected. Self-studied.
Macroeconomics-Not as big a fan of Macroeconomics. However, I decided to take the test
anyway, buckled down, and studied from a textbook since there was substantial overlap
with microeconomics(I didn’t want to forgot a ton for next year).
Computer Science-The MC were pretty easy for me but I’m pretty sure I bombed the FRQ,
cause I made like 10+ careless errors. Honestly, it wasn’t that hard of a test; I was just
kind of panicking and going way too slow.
Chemistry-I really lucked out. I had the international version of the test, which i believe was
substantially easier than the standard version. Chemistry isn’t exactly my strongest subject,
so the different form really saved me.
World History-This was another really lucky. I felt OK on the MC, and pretty bad for the SAQ
and LEQ(I said Japan was part of ASEAN lol), but the curve this year was gigantic, because
this year they redesigned the test so many people failed.
Dang! All your 5s are making me feel stupid! 8-|
My scores:
Calc AB - 5 (Not too surprised, but kind of relieved because I was worried about that potato problem)
English Lit - 4 (Was expecting a 5. It felt like a breeze for me, and every English teacher who has ever had me has commented on my outstanding skill. Well, at least it’s still a 4.)
US History - 3 (Was expecting at least a 4. But in my defense, this was my teacher’s first year teaching an AP class.)
Physics 1 - 3 (About what I expected; I’m honestly just relieved I passed!)
Graduated in May and I’m finally done with
APs
2015:
AP World: 3 (lol expected suck at MC)
2016:
AP US: 5 ( so happy because my teacher thought I was going to get a 3)
AP English Lang: 4 (thought I was going to pull a 2-3, so super happy)
2017;
AP Calculus AB: 1 (honestly didn’t expect it, but life is life. Pulled like a C second semester (first C thanks senioritis), so it was expected I’d do poorly… stupid potato question
AP Chem: 2 (thought I got a higher score… disappointed but glad I’m not missing like gen Chem or something in college, will need to remember all of it)
AP English Lit: 4 (answered one essay WRONG, so I’m so surprised at it. I’m glad I got credit though)
Didn’t take, but took the class:
AP Bio: wish I took that. Would have probably pulled a 4, but I wasn’t confident in myself
AP Physics 1: Great choice not to take. Would have pulled a fat 1
Happy AP season!!
So in the end, I pulled the AP pentagon… I have successfully gotten a 1,2,3,4, and a 5 on at least one AP test in the duration in high school… which of you guys can say you’ve done that
AP Psych: 4 (was expected)
AP Seminar: 3 (I thought I would have gotten a 4 but oh well)
APUSH: 4 (Not expected, after getting a 2 in euro last year I expected to get a 2 on this exam too)
Overall I am very happy with these scores, they improved a lot since my scores last year and hopefully the same upward trend will apply to my scores next year (Research, Physics 1, Calc AB, and US Gov)
It’s legit; uses a proxy to trick the College Board into thinking you’re in New England :P.
AP Lang: 5
APUSH: 5
AP Comp Sci Principles: 5
AP Physics 1: 4
Bummed about physics, but I was expecting it.
2016
Human Geography: 5
2017
Chemistry: 3 (pleasantly surprised, thought I would score a 2 because the class at my school did not provide adequate preparation for it)
European History: 5
On to Calc BC, Comp Sci Principles, English Lang, Physics 1, and US History next year!
since i’m a freshman, i decided to only take AP World and test myself. i’m in the IB program.
prediction: 2, maybe a 3. i only answered half of the SAQs, and i didn’t write an LEQ. the MCQ was harder than i expected, but the DBQ was a breeze.
actual score: 5! i have no clue how i did it, but i’m so proud of myself. i didn’t study hard or work my butt off like many of my friends did. in addition, history is my LEAST favorite subject, so i’m truly stunned at my score, but nevertheless happy. (there was a huge curve, though)
excited and nervous to take 4 APs next year (euro, lang, macroecon, and us gov)… wish me luck!
2016
Human Geography - 3 (Horrible teacher, he literally just gave out worksheets)
Calculus BC - 5 AB subscore - 5 (Self-studied, real fun!)
Chinese Language and Culture - 5 (Easy exam)
2017
Macroeconomics - 5 (Horrible online course, had to self-study)
Microeconomics - 5 (Likewise, hard work paid off)
Statistics - 5 (Really enjoyed the class, planning to major in it)
Psychology - 5 (Studied a week prior to the exam… Real happy about this)
Felt like I could have taken more but I’m extremely happy with my scores!
I’ve got IB starting next year… I wonder if I would have some free time to study for a few more AP exams
AP Euro: 3 (thought I got a 2 and had a horrible teacher so honestly just grateful that I passed)
APUSH: 5 (it was my teacher’s first year teaching that class but I worked really hard in there and it paid off)
Hoping to take 5 AP’s next year: calc ab, psych, lang, chem, and us gov
I only took 1 AP course: AP Human Geography: 5
APUSH: 5
Lang: 4
Art history: 4
Was very surprised about my APUSH score as I know the majority of students who had my teacher received 2s and 3s. Was expecting a 3 at most. Disappointed about lang., always got a 5 on practice exams and my teacher thought my essays were phenomal, but I messed up on one of the essays.
@hajungiiee I was the exact same way with Lang… I bombed that artifice essay
I checked my scores about 8 hours after they were released, so if you haven’t checked yours there’s still hope haha
Okay so let me start off saying I felt that my AP World class was very watered down, not hard for the most part. Second, this might sound a little pretentious, but I wasn’t going to post my score if I got less than a 4.
If you’re not for Christianity or God then I can respect your views, but I can truly say that without the wisdom God mercifully gave me that day I surely wouldn’t have scored what I scored. So I guess it’s to show that with God anything is possible. Also, I’m amazed that God even decided to have mercy on me (with a little pathetic prayer I prayed the morning of) and grant me a 5. So, thank you God for that 5 that I didn’t deserve but You decided to give me anyway.
Now, for the prep?
This is the funny part I didn’t prep not even CLOSE to what I should have. I would probably say the 2-3 hours I crammed the night before (useless info) honestly, didn’t help. I did one practice test from the Barron’s book which I got a 56% on (so disappointed about that one) and like a 60-something on the second practice test (progress?). That’s about it, no practice DBQ’s/FRQ’s, oops.
I thought I totally BOMBED the ENTIRE written portion maybe except for the DBQ (it was pretty straightforward in my opinion) which I just filled with “like doc. so-and-so” and “contrary to this doc” and “because”, you get the picture. To be completely honest, I felt I didn’t really analyze
AP Spanish Lang: delayed score
AP World History: 3 (expected a 4/5, quite disappointed but grateful I still passed)
next year: APUSH, AP Lang, AP Psych
AP World History: 3 (I suck at history & 3 gets credit at my future college so really happy)
Next year: APUSH, AP English (idk if lang or lit), AP Spanish Lang, AP Chem, APES
AP Calc BC: 5
AP Calc AB Subscore: 5
AP Human Geography: 4
(as a sophomore)
Next years AP’s: AP Psych, APUSH, AP Us Gov, AP Stat, APES, AP Physics 1, AP World History (online)
feedback would be appreciated
AP Human Geography: 4
(as a freshman)
Next year: AP Psychology, AP Biology
AP Lit: 2
AP Psych: 3
Expected that 3 in Psych but Lit caught me by surprise a little. It doesn’t matter now that I’ve graduated and will be attending my dream school this fall
