Is using a proxy server to get scores early illegal?
What law do you think they are breaking???
I didn’t know if your scores could be invalidated.
If you’re worried, don’t chance it. Good practice for college admissions – can’t cheat your way into knowing those decisions early.
No - they won’t invalidate your scores.
Dude thousands of kids use proxies each year, you’re fine
What is the earliest scores will be up using proxies? CB is ridiculous with this location based rollout methodology. Give me a break. They actually released scores to COLLEGES starting 7/1, but don’t give them to students. Nice.
I saw people using proxies last year around 6am on the first day of release, and they were working
My daughter has already seen her scores because they are loaded on her college online account. You might want to check that if you don’t feel like waiting for CB.
I think using a proxy server is illegal if you use it to view content you’d otherwise have to pay for in your country. Seeing as AP scores are free, you’re fine.
There is no way Collegeboard can tell you’re using a VPN (well, they can, but that’ll require them to manually check every AP login, which is in no way realistic).
Not illegal.
College Board tweeted out warnings this morning regarding providing your account information to “other sites or users” and stating that “you are responsible for what happens on your account” so make sure that you are not violating that policy when you access early. If you are protecting the confidentiality of your information, then you are not violating their policies AFAIK.
yeah, using a vpn or proxy is fine. giving your username/password to random people or websites is just plain sketchy in the first place.
IF CB really cared, they would make scores available based on where you took the exam not where you are when you want to access your scores. What sense does it make to have them accessible based on where you are located a couple months after you take the tests?
What proxy server/vpn are you guys using? The avast one doesn’t seem to be working for me
