It's only for schools/districts at this point, but chances are that our schools will find out about scores before we do. This also means that students will receive scores online in the future. Good to see CB making progress.

I don’t why they can’t have them online for students. They have the SAT and it has some decent functionality. Well, DD will have to wait for the piece of paper one more time.

They’re just developing the online AP system so I didn’t expect them to make it for students immediately. Nonetheless, I’m hoping my school gets it in early July so that I can just go and ask them instead of having to wait until the 3rd week in July to get my scores.

Yay! Can’t wait until students have the chance to see their scores online. It’ll be like the SAT, when we stay up like all night, constantly refreshing the page in futile attempt and finally see our scores and post them on CC.

I posted something about this earlier in the year. At that time, the site said that the system might be ready for July 2010, and that it would be available for students as well. I guess they changed their mind…hmmm. I only wish they would implement this system by next year so that I’ll have a chance to get my scores online [senior year]

Sweet, I wonder how I benefit if I self studied. . .
CB is so lazy, they should open this option for students as well, students care more than the teachers and schools.

I’m taking my last APs this year, so if they don’t have this available for this time around then I don’t get to see the benefits of accessing my grades online. Hopefully BYU has them up on my account on the website before they come in the mail. :)

^Yeah, that would be the best. Seeing how close you were to the next best score would be nice. It may be disappointing for some people if they are like 1 point from a 5.

^ I don’t think that’s good. If somebody was 1 point away from a 5, how would that knowledge help them? The score doesn’t change and the kid would just be devastated. Colleges could start discriminating between “high 5’s” and “low 5’s” and adjust credit policies. I think the current system is more beneficial for the students.

All I can say is: it’s about time. I really hope they get to a point like where the SAT and ACT are where people can just check online right when they are released.
