AP scores received

checked on minerva to see if mcgill had gotten my new AP scores and they have. i have a total of 27 hours i can transfer, however, on my registration it still shows me as a U0 student. from what i understand, upon registration day...i can declare my APs and all of that and apply as a U1, but i'm not sure.
emailed my advisor twice within the last month and a half...no response.
if any of you can help me out with some more info, it'd be appreciated.

Phone the advisor.

I think it's 30 credits than you're considered a U1 student

and also, mcgill might not have processed the AP stuff yet towards your transcript. cause my advisor said that they will do it towards the registration dates.

i thought 30 too, but then i looked to see if you need less than 97 hours to complete the required 120, then you're U1. if my AP info is right, then i need 93 hours to complete...so u1? no idea if i'm right though.

this might be a stupid question but...how do you know how many hours you're receiving? all it says on mine is that they received the scores, nothing else

it breaks up the hours here:
http://www.mcgill.ca/artscisao/new/standing/

and got an email back. 30 is the max credit hours who can transfer. my dude said starting as a U1 has to do with how many hours you need to complete 120, so in my case, 93 hours puts me as a U1. 120-97 hours, U0. 96 or less, U1.

does mcgill notify us about our credit standing, or should i just email my advisor? probably the latter...
based on that site, i have 30 credits, but i dont really want to be U1 (i guess that's a little weird.) the site says we have to declare our ap scores upon registration...
Registration is approaching, and i still have no idea what to do

I didn't want to go into U1 either (got 30 credits), unfortunately seems like we have no choice....

in U1 we have to declare out major, ergo i do not want to be in U1. but i guess it would save a lot of money...

Can they really force you to accept U1 status? And if so, can you study for four years anyway?

does anyone know how we find out who our advisor is?

According to email from my advisor we have no choice...If you get more than 24 (if I am not mistaken) credits you are in U1. You can complete it in more than 3 years. It says in the calendar the time limit on completion...

I thought I was unable to register till Aug 4th liek everyone else, but somehow minerva is allowing me to register, I can now access a lot of menus I was unable to before, also do we only get credit for AP scores relating to our major, i.e. I won't get any credit for us history as a B.eng

edit* found my transcript, and things don't seem to add up, there are 5 classes listed as exempted from, (there should be more) and based on the chart of AP credits, those five should add up to 21 credits, not 14 as it says, (althoguh since there are soem exemptions I should have but arent listed I should according to my calculations, not including us history have 27 credits)

Lucky you! Nothing has changed for me...
