Hello everyone.

I got my AP scores recently, and I am happy with them.
I think I have good AP scores but decent SAT II scores (some in same subject).
Question is, which one matters more?

Hello everyone.

I got my AP scores recently, and I am happy with them.

Question is, which one matters more?

Well, I would think the AP scores should be weighted a little more because they are ‘college-level courses’, while SAT 2 really is just meant to showcase your strength in that subject. If you think you only have ‘decent’ Sat 2 scores, then I would suggest retaking those tests or take different tests in which you can score 700+. To be honest, I think they are both important in terms of your college app, but in terms of placing out of classes in college AP will do much more.

Are you considering applying to a school that requires SATII’s?

AP’s simply give credit according to the school’s policy. And any school that considers AP scores in admissions, is simply looking to see if your A/B in AP whatever matches up with a 3,4,5.

On the otherhand, SAT II’s are much like the SAT/ACT in the admissions process. A way to compare applicants. Aim for 700+ 600+ for mid tiered schools.

Also, if I were to take more than two SAT II’s, should I report all scores that are 700+ ? (Even if a college wants 2.)
