Are you required to send AP scores to the schools you are applying to for consideration of admission? Even if you aren't, would they consider them in the admissions process?

Or do you only have to send them when you accept their offer of admission (if they accept you)?

You’re not required to send them for your application at most (all?) schools. Generally, they’ll consider them if they help your application.

You will need to send them to the school you decide to enroll at if you intend to use them for credits and placement.

You don’t have to send them with admission, but I would, at least if you get 4’s/5’s, because those tend to impress colleges. Just remember that some colleges are becoming even more selective about which scores they accept for credit (some are only taking 5’s on AP tests now).

Thanks!

I’m worried about the ones coming up in may…

Same! But if you don’t want to report the scores, you don’t have to. Just having an AP on your transcript is impressive enough. It shows that you’re motivated to take the hardest classes available.

Good:) thanks again!
