AP Spanish Language in Senior Year

Hi, I’m pretty new here. I was wondering if colleges care if students took 3 years or 4 years of a language. So, I’m not sure if just 3 years of a language alone would fulfill the language requirement in college, so I wouldn’t have to worry about taking it again when I do enter college? Or should I take AP Spanish Lang as a fourth year just to be safe? By the way, I’m leaning towards applying to the UC’s as an out-of-state applicant. I’d appreciate if you guys would help me with this tough decision

Note that UCs are primarily universities dedicated to California residents’ children so out of state students are expected to pay the full 65k with no financial aid.
Reaching Level 3 will mean you will need either one or two semesters of Spanish (or start another from scratch). At most universities, AP foreign language with a score of 4 or 5 will waive that requirement and a score of 3 would place you place you high enough that you’d only have to complete one semester.

Depends on the college (and sometimes the division in the college). Colleges’ foreign language graduation requirements vary, as do their placement / exemption testing.
