AP Spanish Language

I'm considering taking the AP Spanish Language exam and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the format of the test?
I'm taking College Spanish V (Intermediate Spanish II), but haven't taken College Spanish IV (Intermediate Spanish I) yet though, I plan on taking it next year. I have taken Spanish 1 through 3, and have been taking some kind of Spanish since 2nd grade. Plus on the NYS Spanish Regents I got a 94. I'm still not fluent, but I can carry on a conversation in Spanish and understand most of it when it is spoken at a normal pace. Do I seem qualified or prepared enough for this exam?

And also, I'm trying to get into NYU and they only take college credit earned before college if the class wasn't used to fulfill a graduation requirement. I already fulfilled my foreign language credits 2yrs ago, so the college spanish class I'm taking now is a nonrequirement. So should I even spend my time on this exam?

this test is redic hard. I am in ap spanish, and last year 85% of my school got 1-2. I got a 97 on nys regents, and that holds no bearing on the ap grade.

Alright thanks, but should I even bother since I could get credit just from it being a college course?

If you're taking the class I don't see why you shouldn't take the exam. It can't hurt you in any way. Yes, the exam is difficult but it is not impossible.
