If i took AP Spanish Lang in 11th grade, do i need to take AP Spanish Lit in 12th grade (even tho they are the same credit) for Ivy League and top schools to show the 4 continuous years of spanish?
Or does Spanish Lang count as the 4th year?
In addition, will it look bad to not take Spanish or a foreign language my senior year?
Thanks.
Not if you don’t want to. For foreign languages, the level completed counts, so completing AP Spanish Language is the same as completing 4 years of a foreign language. Also note, many colleges will not give AP credit for both Spanish language and Spanish Literature.
No. Again, if you want to take it, fine. If you don’t want to take it, assuming you take something equally rigorous in its place, also fine. Your choice.
