So, I'm stuck in a bit of a dilemma...

I have the choice of taking either AP Spanish or AP Environmental Science next year (11th grade).

If I took AP Spanish, I would go from Honors Spanish 5/6 to AP Spanish, skipping Honors Spanish 7/8 (a level of spanish in the middle)... Or I could take APES.

Both classes are easy to get A's in at my school...But I originally wanted to take AP Spanish so I could get rid of my foreign language requirement in college.

I want to be a pre-med major (want to go to UCLA). So do you think taking AP Spanish and passing the AP Spanish exam to fulfill my foreign language requirement in college would be better than taking APES and passing the APES exam, which I hear is easier than the AP Spanish exam?

Btw, I am NOT a fluent Spanish speaker. I looked over some sample essays and material from the AP Spanish test and am having second thoughts on taking the AP Span. exam because I don't know if I'll be able to know all that material in order to pass the test...especially because the AP Spanish teacher is really lazy at my school and doesn't teach anything.

Any suggestions on what I should do??? Which class should I choose? Which AP test should I take?

Another question: If I decide to not take AP Spanish and don't take the AP Exam, I will have to take a placement test at UCLA. Does anyone know how hard the Placement Exams are at universities, such as UCLA??? Do people usually fulfill their foreign language requirements by passing this exam?

Thank you.
