Okay, so I've read many threads about how AP Calculus is what colleges want to see.
I have seen the occassional "I know/I am someone who got into a top tier school without any high school calculus." But how often do we hear that?

I'm in a difficult situation. There's little chance of me taking AP Calc in my senior year. I'd have to take a summer course, but the math department at my school rarely allows students to do so.
I' will be taking Honors Pre-calculus in senior year. I could fit AP Statistics in my schedule if necessary. So, my question: should I add the extra course? It's AP, so that's wonderful. But it's Statistics
I don't want to waste my time on that if it's not worth it while I could be taking more science or history, my real areas of interest.

Should I take both Honors Pre-calc and AP Statistics? Or just Honors Pre-calc?

(Note: I'm not a fan of math I do well in math, but it's not my favorite. I'm planning to major in Biology or History in college. I hear that life sciences and humanities don't require Calculus taken in high school, so that's to my advantage.)
