AP STATISTICS - how was it?

Logic and reasoning were what I used to answer most of the questions...

-The Logical Coot66

how is the test broken down point wise...does anyone know?

LOL so true coot, that's what the whole test is about.

Multiply the Multiple choice raw score by 1.25.

For each of the first 5, multiply your score by 1.875, and multiply by 3.125 for the #6....add the two and if you get above a 68 you should have a 5...

MODERATOR'S NOTE:

There will be NO discussion of MC questions at all, and NO discussing of FR questions until at least 48 hours after the exam. You read the rules, and we expect you to follow them.

Anyone discussing questions will have their posting privileges suspended.

Moderator Amistad

One can't "reason" oneself though doing a significance test that one doesn't know how to perform. xP.

that's true, I'm just one of those people who is awesome at stat but hates the subject LOL~

I didn't think it was that difficult, there just wasn't enough time for the FR! I could have done all of them if we had ten more minutes.

The MC was extremely easy, so much so that I finished it an hour early and had time to recheck every single question with five minutes to spare.

I heard that they're releasing the 2007 test and that's why it was so easy.

The breakdown of the scoring is as follows:

Multiple Choice:
((Number Correct)-(.25 x Number Wrong)) x 1.25

Free Response:
Questions 1-5: Score x 1.875
Question 6: Score x 3.1250

SCORE RANGES
68-100 5
53-67 4
40-52 3
29-39 2
0-28 1

It's really not too hard to pass. If you get an 80% on the Multiple Choice, you already have almost a 3.

Dang.......
it was hard as ****
i mean... some of the free responses were unexpected.

I am not going to discuss the multiple choice question, but was one of them impossible to do? did anyone else think that there may have been a mistake on the exam that made one impossible?

yep pm me about it if thats legal

I do agree. One of the MC was impossible. I was thinking that there was a possible mistake.

The first FRQ was so hard... I didn't know what to write! Did anyone else not write a "delicious" (as my tteacher would say) paragraph for that one?

I think 2-5 was pretty easy, but now that I think about it, I did leave things out.

6... </3 Our teacher didn't really teach us that material so we could review everything else. THe last thing she said to us was, "Let's just hope chapter ** isn't on it! G-d forbid it be a #6." On the last part, I started flattering the grader. WIll that possibly work against me? I also drew sad faces all over it.

I though most of the multiple choice was impossible... LOL

-The Impossible Coot66

lol, I drew sad faces too! Well, if I wrote something that seemed positive, I drew a happy face next to it, and if I wrote something negative, I drew a sad face. I like drawing on FRQs =P I do it for every AP test XD

I know the MC you guys are talking about. My classmate knew how to do it apparently ... but I sure didn't (and still don't). I skipped it.

Other than that question, the others easy. The FRQ were ... well ... I made up alot of garbage but they were good garbage. =)

I don't recall any MC questions that weren't doable...

I thought the test was very straightforward overall, though a majority of students at my school somehow used the wrong significance test for one of the free-response questions. x_x

I think I did extremely well on it. I know on both of the practice exams that we took in Stats I got a VERY strong 5 (80ish points out of 100, 68 out of 100 is a 5).

If only my Spanish was as good...

I thought the MC were challenging, but definitely doable....I probably got a few wrong.

Free response....6 was pathetically easy. i thought 1 was more difficult...ahahaha. i know i lost a few points here and there, but that's to be expected

here's hoping for a 68+

how can you say 6 was pathetically easy? there were easy parts, but im guessing a majority of the points came from the hard parts

i agree one of the questoins was not able to be answered given the data presented to us compareted to the answer selections... i sat there in extra time trying to figure out what it was.. in the end i left it blank.

if you get all the MC right you're gonna get a 5
