Is anyone else having a tough time in AP Stat? My grade is an 80 or so, but last semester I pulled a 91. Maybe it's senioritis, but seriously I am putting forth the effort. It's just weird. I feel prepared for the tests then I get a 75 on them. Anyone else? Thanks.

hm...cant say i had the same problem when i took it, but do not worry, the ap stat test suppose to be one of the easiest ones, hence the very top schools usually dont give credit for it.

AP Stats is driving me crazy. I wish I had never taken it. It's easily my least favorite academic class of all of HS. My school is on a block schedule, and that makes it even worse.

My grade is dropping pretty fast in it.

I love AP Stat. It is an awesome course that I am doing really well on. We are on block and doing binomial distributions now. Psychology on the other hand...

Statistics rocks. We are on one-sample t tests right now and have like 3 or 4 chapters left.

What do you find hard about the class, OhFiveSenior? Is it the procedures you have to follow during tests or the actual interpretation of the data? What are you doing right now in your class? Maybe i can help...anything for a fellow stats student

BCgoUSC, how far is binomial distribution in your book? We did that right after christmas break!

Slipstream, you've gotta understand we are on block scheduling, so we just started the class after christmas. I think Statistics is a breeze and awesome.
I'd also be happy to help anyone...email or priv. message

Which AP prep book are you guys using?

omg fellow stats haters!!! i hate stats so much. its ridiculous.

I'm sticking with the textbook and the Barrons right before the exam.

my school uses the Barrons book....... i think the class is really easy but on the other hand it's soooo boring

I love it. I think it's interesting, useful, and fun!

oh my god the final last month was violent like no other... sadly that killed my grade :( the teacher even told me i had basically no chance to get a a since i had exactly a 90%. we're on confidence and inference, and this HAS GOT to be the most ridiculous thing on earth. its just mindboggling!

i personally liked ap stat more than ap calc bc. calc ab was fine and easy, but i just dont get number series. i really like stat. right now i really regret not applying anywhere with a strong actuarial sciences program.

We use "The Practice of Statistics" by Yates, etc. No prep book.

AP stats is the lamest class I've ever taken.

Whoever said the AP exam is easy is right; it's curved nicely because most people don't have a friggin clue what they're doing. I took it last spring and got a 5 despite running out of time and only doing half the free response questions (although, admittedly, I think I did well on the MC.)

My class spent a fair amount of time practicing multiple choice from Barron's. For our free response practice, our class mantra was to "Write everything down and BS! BS! BS!"

So... which prep book is better: McGraw's 5 Steps to a 5, Kaplan, Princeton Review, Barron's, or REA?

Our teacher like the Idiot's Guide, but I'm not sure how well it prepares for the AP test.

Barron's is best.

Kosukial, just take lots of finance, econ, stat, and calc classes and then apply to an Actuarial Grad School.

Stat is just so logical to me. I made a 5 on AB Calc and am doing BC Calc now, but god those stupid series are KILLING me now. Thank god I have stat.

Get Cliff Notes For Ap Statistics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CliffsAP is pretty good for free response stuff, but I'd stick with Barrons for material.
