***AP Statistics Thread 2015-2016***

Can anyone explain to me when each test should be used? There are so many it’s hard to keep track. :((

If our hypothesis for a linear regression test is B(beta) = #, would we do b - # on the numerator of our test statistic?

So (b - #)/SEb instead of b/SEb

@specialsnowflake

The link on the post above you is very helpful!

6 Barron’s AP Stats tests I haven’t done…lol time to cram before the exam tomorrow

@holyground hey man, remember me from ap calculus thread? lol

I hope I get at least a 3 tomorrow… Good luck everyone.

Does anyone know if there is a source for this exam that is a step by step guide on how to do every topic of AP Stat? :stuck_out_tongue:

I didn’t even look at Princeton Review or Barron, I’ve only been doing Strive for a 5. Gah, I’m so not excited for tomorrow. Good luck everyone-

@misterdjl what u mean by df for t tests? are there more than what i only know,df=n-1??

Dfs:

n - 1 for means (t-test/intervals); for 2 sample it’s the smaller n

of categories - 1 for Chi squared GOF

(row - 1) x (column - 1) for Chi squared Homogeneity/Independence

n - 2 for Linear Regression t-test/interval

How can you tell when it is a chi square test for Independence or a chi square test for homogeneity of proportions?

How do I get L3 as residual on my ti83?

@holyground thx a lot

@aznboi4981 u put ‘RESID’ on the very last column.

@uncletim32 ERR:DATA TYPE

@lena33 If there is one sample and two categorical variables, then use independence. If two samples and one variable, use homogeneity.

I am paying the $15 to get out of this test!! AP World is enough for me.

@aznboi4981 u get the error because you prob didn’t put in the data values for L1 and L2. try to put RESID again with the values in L1 and L2

@aznboi4981 @uncletim32 Also, make sure you obtain your linear regression equation before inserting RESID into L3. It won’t work if you don’t.

DESPERATE for last minute assistance. Can someone explain to me these concepts: Variance, Expected Values, when to use probabilities with factorials/binomcdf/binompdf/geom/geot, and how to know what sampling distribution to use?

Also, does someone have a source that gives you steps for each of the sampling distributions?

I just found out that I can get a 20/40 on the MC, and a 1 on all the FRQs, and I can still pass.
