AP STATS 2006 discussion board

oh i totally got my arse kicked on the free response. sigh i came home and actually shed a tear or so. our class did like, 60 free response questions and that number six!? dammmnnn, that was hard.

mc was alright...had maybe about 5 that was bit confusing but had a good idea (kinda) on most of 'em. FR was okay.....I couldn't remeber the S stuff, the mean thing on the binomial, and number six, oh crud, totally whooped my freakin' ass. ahh, now thinking about it, i'm not sure on ANYTHING for that matter. shudders, trying to get it out of her head

i hope they change the raw score too because aside from those exceptional students who got the last one and pretty much all of them with relative ease (curse you!! lol jk) most of CC seemed to think it was pretty hard. I mean....damn, i started freaking out. i mean, i was pretty out of it.

eh, i'm freaked out and scared and totally totally totally worried. >_<
lets hope CB gives us a major score boost...........

nooo idea on #6 either

didn't get third part [mean]

didn't get 'S' . either!

did anyone recognize a typo on the MC by any chance..?
instead of being 37 +- SE, i think it said something like 95 +- SE.
i chose it anyway.

i am a victim of free response.

If we write something wrong, it can't hurt us as opposed to leaving a question blank right?

In case you were wondering how they grade these things:

MC: Take the number you missed and multiply by .25
Subtract that number from the number you got correct
Then multiply that number by 1.25

FR: Pretty much simple math, first five are worth 7.5 each, number 6 is worth 12.5 points. Each question is graded on scale of 1-4.

yup that's right chillmandan. it's made 50/50 MC and FR after the weighting

What would a E I P P give?
1 or 2 points out of 4?

So everyone agrees that this year's test was the hardest over all all the previous 10 years (Ap stat was first created in 1997).

that would just make me much better

I bet if my stats teacher took it, she would only get a 4.

I thought the test was frekishly hard.......but it could have been cause my class was 2 months behind on the material......hadn't covered stats inference and also didn't do ANYTHING on chi sqaured! It will be a miracle if i score a 3.........and i'm a senior going to NU and you need a 4 for credit........oh well........did well on all other AP's and others should be better!

yea

I thought that the FR was hard as well

does anyone know what percentage for a five

I think i "might" have gotten a five, especially it the scoring brackets are more generous

well i def. just got 25% off my free response hahaha

I know that to get a 3 you have to have higher than a 40.

I'm went through my free response after i was done and counted the ones i was sure i got correctly (i played it conservatively), and i got 24 counted up and 2 of my questions i left unanswered.

FR was a different story. Hopefully i got atleast one 3, a few 2's, and the rest ones, that would give me a 3.

Does Anyone Know What Percentage I Would Have To Get To Get A Score Of 5

haha thats pretty funny. My teacher NEVER taught me about F Tests!

around 40% wrong for a 5

OK man be realistic.

how much will it take to get a 5?

40% wrong = 60% right

about 90% right on MC and 50 % right on FR.

and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the people on this thread had their grades revoked by the Testing Integrity peeps
