ohkay. i have read AP stats is really easy and stuff

now ihave only a month left until May and
i will probably have only weekend to study a little
i read very first few pages of Princeton Review AP STATS book
and it seems to be easy.

I want to know from CCers who took/selfstudied AP STATS,
if it's possible to cover all sections in AP Stats and still got 4/5.

i dont think i have enough time.
what do you tink??

1 month is possible. I've seen a quite a number of my friends or aquaintances (spelling? lol.) getting easy 5's with perhaps just over a month. But they were all naturally good at math considering it the easiest subject. If ur good at grasping the concept, u'll ace it.

yeah at least i will make a curve better for you guys -0-

i'm using PR Cracking AP Stats only. (no text book or anything like that)
Their review/concepts seems to be well explained,
I wonder if that's all or there is much more than what they cover in that book.

i guess u can do it. i thought stat was supposed to be easy, but after taking the class at my hs, everything just blew up =l. sure enough, the equations are easy and explaining probability and stuff, bt be sure to check the wording on mc q's and ur free response. this part kills our entire class, so just be sure to quadruple-check the wording of the question

Its cake. Honestly. If i dont get a 5, I will be truly disappointed with myself. I am using the CliffNotes Statistics (not CliffsAP, just the regular book) Make sure you know how to punch junk into your calculator, thats all. The book is like a girls dress: long enough to cover to important parts, short enough to keep it interesting (or readable in a short amount of time at least). Good luck!

does anyone know any good sites that might help me with ti-83 calculator operations? im self studying for the exam using barrons, but the book doesn't cover this part of the exam well...

All of you self studying, none of the prep books really utilize all of the power of the ti 83. I havent learned one formula all year since almost everything is built in, people just dont know what the calculator can and can't do. Statistics is a joke if you know how to use your calculator.

Make sure you go over and do the sample free response section on APcentral. The content itself is easy, but if you don't practice the questions, you might not do them quickly enough.

Our teacher always tells us that the math is a breeze (which it is) but the wording is just hard. You basically just have to know how to read all of the problems and understand them and the calculator will do almost all of the rest.
I don't see why I won't make a 5 and this was a 1 semester class.

I hjave the barron's prep book. I llearn nearly nothing from reading their explanations but their exmaples are REALLY good. I just sorta look at thier work and try to figure out how to solve the problem. It's really weird at first, but I like it.

thanks. i read one thrid of PR Cracking AP Stats and up to now, it makes a godd sense and seems to be pretty straight forward and easy. yet i havent solved any examples. i shall get barron's for examles
(and arr.. i dont get much of calculator usages)

yet i think contents get harder (like "anticipating pattern" and "statistical inference", which i havent gone over yet, seem to be a lot more complicated than "exploring data" or "planning a study")

any thoughts and comments on selfstudying AP States would be awesome!

For the statistical infence (Inferential Statistics) and the other stuff, just make SURE that you know how to do the different tests on your calculator. MAKE SURE!

if you're looking for a really good ap test book, barron's is probably one of the better of the ones on the market. i've looked at the barron's one and PR's... barron's seems to cover things more in depth and has questions that make you think more.
