AP Test Question

For Princeton, am I required to submit my scores for every test I've ever taken or can I choose to not submit a score? I'm self-studying for an AP test right now, but I'm not sure how well I will do.

You can choose to not submit a score. APs are completely optional, but they’re a great way to demonstrate your academic ability and willingness to challenge yourself.

The answer depends on a couple things. If you applied and included this AP course on your application and have already been accepted then yes, you do need to report those scores. We went through this question directly with admissions - my son was accepted SCEA and because he included the AP course on his application, he needed to finish it and write the exam, including reporting the score. He also self studied the course and was leery about the outcome but all went well.

If you have not applied yet, then no you do not need to report the score. It does not need to appear on the application unless it is part of your academic transcript from your highschool.
